Mattsee Lake View – Aquarell Painting

Here is another painting from Mattsee near Salzburg where I study at the Leonardo Art Academy, as a follow-up to the last post. This time the painting is done with Aquarell paint (watercolor) and shows the view from the roof hatches of the Art Academy to the South-Eastern shore of the lake. Several boat houses indicate that a lot of boating lovers live or vacation here in Mattsee. The two houses might be hotels or bed & breakfasts. Nearly every local inhabitant rents out rooms for the countless vacationers who come here. In addition, there are many schools who come here for a week of sports education, which includes among other things lessons in sailing and windsurfing. Also, the Hawaiian sport of stand-up-paddling has found its way to this area.
