This was the last painting that was finished in time for the exhibition in Vienna in November. It is based on a vacation pic of my sister. This mountain lake has a fascinating color. The smoking volcano in the middle and the dark chain of mountains behind it provide a wonderful contrast. The clouds are bathed in later afternoon sun.
As you can see, there are still two paintings left before I reach the intended number of 30. For those who joined in later – I participated in a “30 in 30 Challenge” in September. The goal was to paint 30 pictures in 30 days. I did reach the goal but 10 of them weren’t watercolor landscapes. That’s why I decided to keep counting until I reach 30. The two remaining are already in work but were not finished before the exhibition in November. However, I did finish two acrylic landscapes that will be posted next.
